How to convert minutes to decimal hours
One hour is 60 minutes. Divide the total number of minutes by 60 to express that duration in decimal hours.
hours = minutes ÷ 60The input is total minutes, so it can be greater than 59. There is no need to split 90 minutes into 1 hour and 30 minutes first.

Is 30 minutes 0.30 hours?
No. 30 minutes is 30 ÷ 60 = 0.50 hours. In contrast, 0.30 hours is 18 minutes.
